Takumi Kondo joined JAFCO in 2024. He is a graduate of the University of Tokyo’s Faculty of Agriculture. At JAFCO, he is in charge of identifying potential portfolio companies, executing investments, and providing post-investment support, with a focus on seed- and early-stage startups. Prior to joining JAFCO, he worked at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, where his responsibilities included trade negotiations with the US in the International Department and promoting the export of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products. He also worked in the Environmental Biomass Policy Division, focusing on decarbonization/sustainability strategies and new business creation in the agricultural sector. His areas of interest include agri-food tech, climate tech.
