Ryota Shintani joined JAFCO's Investment Division, Investment Group for Adademy & Life Sciences in 2023. He is responsible for executing investments in / providing post-investment support mainly for research and development startups in the fields of engineering and biotechnology.
Prior to joining JAFCO, he was involved in new business creation related to Deep Tech , including AI and Web3, at BCG Digital Ventures after working for Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. and SoftBank Robotics Corp.
He graduated from the Department of Information and Communication Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, the University of Tokyo.
