Masataka Kobayashi joined JAFCO in 2005. Starting with VC investment, he gained experience in IPO and trade sales. Since returning from his secondment to a securities company, he has been involved in buyout investment, covering a wide range of deals from large buyout to venture-buyout investments. He was appointed Managing Director of the Structured Investment Division in June 2022.
